High hope for hoteliers as tourism industry gains momentum in Himachal after two months

After facing the brunt of natural disasters,  the tourism business in Himachal Pradesh is back on track once again. After a long gap of about two months, tourists have started visiting Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Chail, Kasauli, and other adjoining tourist places. Inquiries have started in hotels for the Durga Puja tourist season. Inquiries have increased with hotel and homestay operators in tourist hot spots like Shimla, Kinnaur, Chail, and Kasauli.

Businessmen are also hopeful that business will pick up pace again in the coming weeks. After the weather opens up, the number of tourists is also expected to increase from this weekend. With the restoration of the traffic system, the tourism industry is also gaining momentum.

Hoteliers say that as soon as Durga Puja holidays start by the end of September, the number of tourists from North India, including Bengal, Madras, and Gujarat, will start increasing. Federation of Hotel and Restaurants Association President Gajendra Chand Thakur says that relief work has started rapidly after the rains stopped in the state.

A small number of tourists have started coming to Himachal. If there is no heavy rain in the coming days, the tourism business is expected to pick up pace again during the Durga Puja tourist season. Manu Sood, General Secretary of the Travel Agents Association, says that tourists from other states have started arriving at tourist places. On returning, these people will inform others about the normalizing conditions in Himachal. It is expected that after this the number of tourists at tourist places will increase.
