Himachal: Admissions disrupted due to heavy rains, date for graduation admission extended

Himachal Pradesh University administration has given another chance to take admission in Prak Shastri and other UG graduation degrees in private and government colleges after the approval of the Vice Chancellor. Students who could not take admission in graduation due to weather and other reasons can take admission till 20 September. All the conditions of admission in college will remain applicable. Many students have passed under the re-evaluation of class 10th issued by the School Education Board recently.

In such a situation, the date for giving admission to them in class 11 has also been extended. Sardar Patel University Mandi has also extended the last date for admission in graduation till 20 September. Earlier, the last date for taking admission was 5 September. Vice Chancellor Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi said that if any student has been deprived of taking admission due to unavoidable reasons, he can take admission.

At the same time, the zone-level tournaments of Under-14 School Sports Competition will not be held in the state this time. The Directorate of Elementary Education has issued guidelines in this regard. Due to bad weather and disaster, the games could not be held on time. In such a situation, now the Directorate has decided to organize competitions under one-day trial.

The venues were decided in the meeting held last month regarding the competitions. It was decided to start the competitions from August 21. Due to bad weather, there was heavy damage in the state, including Chamba, roads were broken and competitions had to be postponed. Now the players will be selected by the department under the system of one-day trial.

The Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), a distance learning institute of Himachal Pradesh University, has released the schedule of B.Ed counseling. Counseling will be held from 15 to 18 September in the auditorium of the university through offline mode.

Sardar Patel University Mandi has released the tentative datesheet for undergraduate-level supplementary examinations. According to this, supplementary examinations of BA, BSc, BCom, BSc Biotech, Shastri and Prak Shastri will be held from 27 September to 31 October.

36 examination centers have been set up by the university for the successful conduct of the examination. These include 8 centers in Chamba, 12 in Kangra, 3 in Kullu, 1 in Lahaul-Spiti and 12 in Mandi.
