Himachal Weather Update: Clear skies return as WD weakens; light drizzle in 7 districts

The Western Disturbance has weakened slightly in Himachal Pradesh. However, light drizzle is expected in some parts of the seven districts today and tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in some areas of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Kinnaur, and Lahaul-Spiti districts.

Clear weather is expected in other districts. The weather will clear across the state from the day after tomorrow, October 12th. Over the past two days, light rain and drizzle have occurred in only a few areas. Most areas are sunny in the state.

Manali’s temperature is 6.4 degrees below normal.

The maximum temperature in the state has risen by more than 8 degrees in the last 48 hours. Residents of the state have breathed a sigh of relief from the cold. Temperatures in most cities of the state remain below normal. Manali’s mercury is still 16.4 degrees Celsius, down 6.4 degrees below normal.

Minimum temperatures are also below normal.

Keylong and Mandi are 5 degrees below normal, Hamirpur is 3.9 degrees, Solan is 3 degrees, and Shimla is 1.6 degrees below normal. Similarly, minimum temperatures in all cities are below normal. Temperatures are expected to rise by two to four degrees over the next week.
