Fire broke out in a house in Karsholi village of Narain Panchayat of Rampur in Shimla district on Thursday night. Due to this, a two-storey house was burnt to ashes. This incident of fire is being reported at around 2:30 in the night. The local administration has reached the spot, and the damage is being assessed.
According to the information, at the time of the fire, the house owner, Vijay Singh, was alone at home and was sleeping. As soon as he saw the flames of fire from the window, he ran and jumped from the second floor, because the fire had spread completely on the way out of the house.
He got injured due to this. But his life was saved. It is being said that other members of the house had gone to visit relatives. This could have caused a major loss of life. When the people around came to know, they tried to extinguish it. But the fire spread rapidly in the girl’s house and it could not be controlled.
Due to this, all the goods kept in the house have also been burnt to ashes. The loss in this incident is estimated to be more than Rs 10 lakh. However, a detailed report of the loss is being prepared. Panchayat Deputy Pradhan Avinash Kayth informed the Taklech police about the incident.
The police reached the spot and started an investigation. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet.
