3 students from Hisar among 6 killed in landslide near Manikaran

The deceased students were to return to Hisar on Sunday.

3 students from Hisar are among the 6 people who died in a landslide near the Gurudwara in Manikaran, a tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. These students are from Haryana School of Digital Marketing Institute (HSDM) located in Sector 14. Sector 14 girl Prachi has also been injured in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Manish, a resident of Tara Nagar, Hisar, Gulshan, a resident of Hansi, originally from Bareilly and Dinta, a student of Om University, Hisar.

It is being told that all these students were part of a group that went to Himachal, but 4 students out of a group of 17 students near Manikaran Gurudwara had gone to the roadside to eat Maggi. On Sunday evening, a huge tree fell from the hill in a landslide. All three students died on the spot. They were to return to Hisar on Sunday.

Dinesh Jangid, director of the institute located in Sector 14, Hisar, said that a group of 17 members had gone to Himachal Pradesh for a tour from Hisar on March 28. On Sunday, he went to visit Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu. He had gone to visit Hisar 3 days ago.

He had to return on Sunday, but before that he went to the Gurudwara with all the students. At the time of the accident, some students were in the Gurudwara and some had gone to get the goods in another car.

Injured Prachi admitted to Kullu hospital

It is being told that the accident in Manikaran happened due to a landslide caused by a strong storm and a huge tree fell on it. The tree fell on about 5-6 vehicles already parked on the road. Due to which 6 people died on the spot, among them 3 were students of Hisar. Prachi of Hisar has been injured in this accident, who has been admitted to the district hospital of Kullu for treatment. Prachi’s family has been informed about the accident.
