48,000 women in Himachal Pradesh receive monthly assistance of Rs 45000 for 3 months

Now, about 48,000 eligible women in all 12 districts have been given Rs 4500 for three months in their accounts.

The Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Yojana of the Congress government in Himachal has now been implemented in the entire state. As soon as the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections ended, the state government released 23 crores for the first quarter.

Now, about 48,000 eligible women in all 12 districts have been given Rs 4500 for three months in their accounts.

In Mandi district alone, pension for the month of April and June has been transferred to 3100 women. The pension for June has been transferred in advance because Esomesa i.e. Empowerment of SC, ST, Minorities and Specially Abled Department releases its pension according to the quarter.

Now the pension for the next quarter i.e. July, August and September will be released together.

The state government has released a budget of 23 crores to give this amount to 48000 women under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Yojana from the applications received till March 16, 2024.

Now, on behalf of the ESOMSA department, the district welfare officers have transferred the money for three months to the accounts of 48000 women across the state.

Now, 48000 women across the state, including Lahaul-Spiti, have started receiving Rs 1500 every month. It is worth mentioning that during the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections and the assembly by-elections, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had promised that although this pension could not be given due to the code of conduct, but after the elections are over, the previous arrears will also be given together.

According to his promise, the department has transferred the money for three months together. In the scheme approved by the state government, it has been decided to give this pension to five lakh women across the state. Out of this, money has been transferred for 48000 women and the remaining women will now be selected from new applications.
