Himachal Pradesh: A bike rider died in a road accident near Chururu Railway Bridge on Amb-Una Highway under sub-division Amb of Una district of Himachal Pradesh, while two other bike riders were seriously injured.
The deceased has been identified as Manohar Chauhan (28) son of Baldev Singh resident of Baduhi and the injured include Manu Kumar (35) son of Jagdish Bind resident of Bihar and Neeraj Kumar (33) son of Ramji Bind resident of Bihar. Both the laborers originally from Bihar state live in Diyara and work in marble etc. The injured have been referred to PGI Chandigarh.
According to the police, on Wednesday night at around 9 o’clock, a canter hit the bike near the railway bridge in Chururu. Meanwhile, another bike collided with the canter and met with an accident. A bike rider died on the spot in the road accident, while the other two bike riders who were seriously injured in the accident were taken to Regional Hospital Una by 108 ambulance.
After first aid, seeing the critical condition, both were referred to Chandigarh PGI. SHO Amb Gaurav Bhardwaj said that after inspecting the spot, the police has taken the vehicles involved in the road accident into custody and has registered a case and started investigation.
