Himachal Pradesh: A fire broke out in Thakur Timber Saw Machine Galua near Nagarota Suriyan under Jawali Assembly constituency, causing a loss of Rs 50 lakhs and people with great wisdom and courage saved the adjoining houses from getting engulfed in the fire. If the fire had spread to the adjoining houses, it could have caused a huge loss. The fire was so terrible that even the fire brigade teams had to work hard. Water had to be brought from the adjoining ditch again and again. According to the information received, Thakur Timber Saw Machine was on fire when the people of Galua woke up on Saturday morning. People immediately took buckets and pitchers of water from their houses and started extinguishing the fire but it was difficult to control the rising flames of the fire.
A deep drain was dug along with the saw machine with the help of a JCB to prevent the fire from spreading further. Company owner Ramu Samyal was also informed and he also reached the spot. Fire brigade vehicles arrived from Fatehpur and Jawali but by then everything had been burnt to ashes. Ramu Samayal said that there has been a loss of about 50 lakhs. Police and Patwari from Nagarota Suriyan Police Station reached the spot and assessed the loss. The cause of the fire is not yet known. DSP Jawali Veeri Singh said that the police are trying to find out the cause of the fire.
