After ceasefire, Bhuntar and Gaggal airports opened for civilian flights

However, other flights, including Delhi-Bhuntar could not be operated on Monday.

The Bhuntar and Gaggal airports of the state, which were closed after tension between India and Pakistan have opened for civilian flights on Monday afterthe  ceasefire. Flights will start at Shimla airport from Tuesday. Bhuntar airport has now been restored. However, other flights, including Delhi-Bhuntar could not be operated on Monday.

But air service is expected to be smooth from Tuesday. This will also give a boost to the tourism season of the Kullu valley. It is worth noting that the airport was closed for air services due to tension between India and Pakistan.

Gaggal airport has also opened for civilian flights. Director of Civil Airport Gaggal, Airports Authority of India, Dhirendra Singh, has confirmed the resumption of air flights. Gaggal airport was closed for civilian flights due to the tense situation and shelling on the border.
