Age limit increased for Himachal Police recruitment: proposed posts will be filled under revised rules

It was decided to give one year relaxation in the maximum age limit of candidates for police constable recruitment in Himachal Pradesh. Approval was given to increase the age limit in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu. After this, the proposed 1226 posts of constables in the police department will be filled under the revised rules.

Shimla: It was decided to give one year relaxation in the maximum age limit of candidates for police constable recruitment in Himachal Pradesh. Approval was given to increase the age limit in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu. After this, the proposed 1226 posts of constables in the police department will be filled under the revised rules.

After the cabinet approval, candidates of general category from 18 to 26 years of age, Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Gorkha, distinguished sportspersons from 18 to 28 years and Home Guards from 20 to 29 years of age will be eligible for recruitment to the post of constable.

It was decided to bring the direct recruitment of Group C posts under the State Government and State Public Sector Undertakings, Boards, Corporations, Local Bodies under the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission.

The cabinet approved the opening of the Superintending Engineer Office of Public Works Department and Superintendent of Police Office in Dehra of District Kangra. However, due to the implementation of Model Code of Conduct in Dehra Assembly constituency these days, notification in this regard will be issued later. In the meeting, approval was also given to open the divisional office of Electricity Board in Haroli of Una district.

22 posts of Professor, Assistant Professor will be filled in Medical Colleges

The Cabinet approved the filling of 22 posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Medical Colleges. To provide better medical facilities to people near their homes, three posts of Professor and two posts of Associate Professor will be filled in Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan, two posts of Professor and one post of Associate Professor in Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nair Chowk, Mandi, four posts of Professor and five posts of Associate and Assistant Professor will be filled in various departments in Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba.

Approval given for recruitment of 8 EMOs in Tanda

Approval was given to create and fill eight posts of Emergency Medical Officer in Tanda Medical College and five posts of Assistant Professor in Chamba Medical College, along with appointment of supporting staff like Staff Nurse, Operation Theatre Assistant, Technician, Multi Task Worker etc. to make Trauma Centre functional in both the Medical Colleges.

Cabinet sub-committee formed to promote tourism

The cabinet decided to form a cabinet sub-committee under the chairmanship of Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan to prepare guidelines to promote tourism in the state and ensure systematic operation of home-stays. Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani will be members of this committee.

Apart from this, approval was given to the Cabinet Sub-Committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri for the purpose of giving suggestions for the creation of resources. Agriculture Minister Chandra Kumar, Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani will be members of this sub-committee.
