Himachal Police seizes 3 kg of Cannabis and 2 lakh rupees in cash in Paonta

Paonta Sahib: Based on secret information, the special police team of Sirmaur district has arrested three people dealing in Cannabis with 2.820 kilograms of Cannabis and two lakh rupees in cash. According to information received from the police, the special police team of Sirmaur district received information that some people were doing drug business in Badripur, Paonta.

Immediately after receiving the information, the team recovered cash and drugs from a vehicle at a checkpoint in Badripur Chowk. The police have arrested Ashish Kumar, son of Mahendra Singh, Vipin Basu, son of the late Bamu Ram resident of village Dhandewari district Shimla, and Manjeet Singh, son of Jagannath resident of village Beas Tehsil Paonta Sahib district Sirmaur, who were travelling in the vehicle.

SDPO Paonta Sahib IPS Aditi Singh said that the police have produced all three accused in court and taken their five-day police remand. During the remand, all three accused will be interrogated thoroughly.
