Hamirpur: To promote horticulture in Hamirpur, 40 thousand fruit plants are being made available to the gardeners at government rates. In the monsoon season, the Horticulture Department will make three varieties of mango plants available for sale as per the climate of Hamirpur district, apart from litchi, seasonal and lemon plants. Hamirpur Horticulture Department has started the sale of plants at the block level from today.

Three varieties of mango and litchi, seasonal, papaya and lemon plants have reached the Horticulture Department. Their distribution has started from today. Gardeners doing gardening were waiting for the plants to arrive.
People are very enthusiastic about buying fruit plants. Currently, the Horticulture Department has sent a demand for 40 thousand plants for Hamirpur district. Which includes mango, litchi, papaya, seasonal, lemon and other plants. A large number of people reached the sales center located at Dangkwali in Hamirpur on Tuesday to buy plants.
Fruit plants are being made available to the people at government rates. However, not all the plants included in the list are available here and it is expected that all the plants will be available here in the coming time. Langra, Dussehri and Amarpali plants have been ordered among the mango varieties.
Langra and Dussehri mango plants are being sold at Rs 70 while Amarpali mango variety plant is being given at the government rate of Rs 75. At the same time, the price of litchi plant is Rs 70, seasonal plant is Rs 60, papaya is Rs 40 and lemon plant is available for Rs 35.
Horticulture Development Block Hamirpur Officer Usha Sonkhale said that the consignment of fruit plants has reached Hamirpur. Plants are being allotted. She said that these plants are being made available to gardeners at government rates.
