Bilaspur: Cabinet Minister Rajesh Dharmani flags off two-day tour for orphan children

To ensure proper education and social security for them, the state government has started the Sukh Ashray Yojana.

Bilapur: Under the Sukh Ashray Yojana being run by the Himachal Pradesh government for the empowerment of orphan children and their overall development, the state’s town planner, housing, and technical education minister Rajesh Dharmani has sent 16 children included in the Children of the State from Bhaged of Ghumarvi subdivision on a two-day tour.

During this, Minister Rajesh Dharmani flagged off the bus and also gave his best wishes to all the children for this tour. Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that the Congress government of the state has named 6 thousand orphan children as “Children of the State”. To ensure proper education and social security for them, the state government has started the Sukh Ashray Yojana.

Under this scheme, 16 children of Bilaspur district have been sent to Wagah Border, Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Science City Kapurthala for a tour, where the state government will bear all the expenses of these children’s travel, accommodation, and food. Rajesh Dharmani also said that this initiative will not only strengthen the future of orphan children but will also prove to be effective in making them self-reliant.

During this tour, these children will get the experience of various places which will prove to be helpful in their education and mental development. Along with this, these children will get information about historical heritage and experience a lot of entertainment. He also said that Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country to have made such a law for the welfare of orphan children and the state government has given priority to qualitative education, welfare and self-reliance of children under this law.
