Shimla: During the budget session in Lok Sabha, Union Minister Anurag Thakur emphasized the importance of establishing a Central University in Himachal Pradesh for the brighter future of students in the region. He highlighted that while the Central government of BJP has ensured adequate funding for the university, with the initial budget of 250 crore rupees being doubled to 500 crore rupees, the delay in land allocation and other issues by the Congress government has caused setbacks.
He pointed out that due to these delays, students are still forced to study in rented buildings instead of the planned university campus. He urged for an immediate meeting to address the pending issues and expedite the completion of the project, ensuring that the Central University in Himachal is operational as soon as possible for the benefit of the students.
He stressed on the importance of a unified approach to tackle the growing drug menace in the country. speaking during the session in the Lok Sabha, he urged both the central and state governments to come forward and collaborate in eradicating drugs from India.
He emphasized that it is crucial to create a safe and healthy environment for the nation’s youth. He called for collective action from all levels of government to combat this serious issue.
