Shimla: BJP-backed BDC member Manjeet Kumar from Jaladi-Chiliyan Ward No. 8 of Nadaun block joined the Congress party on Thursday.
Expressing faith in the policies of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and the work done during the 15-month tenure of the government, he said goodbye to BJP. The Chief Minister made Manjeet join the Congress party. Manjeet had won the last election by 367 votes.
On Leaving BJP, Manjeet, a resident of Jaladi Saunkhalayan said he was feeling suffocated in BJP for a long time. He continued to work as a loyal worker in the party, but he did not get due respect.
Jaladi chief Jagmohan Dogra Mani and former Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Amit Sharma were present at the time of Manjeet’s inclusion in the Congress party.
