Bharmour: A car fell into a ditch on the Banikhet-Khairi road in Dalhousie, killing a girl and injuring 6 people. The accident took place near Dular village in Banikhet, where a Maruti Alto car (JK 08P 6770) went out of control and fell into a 100 meter deep ditch.
The incident happened in the afternoon, when the car was going from Banikhet to Khairi. The car driver was seriously injured in the accident. As soon as the information was received, Khairi police reached the spot and started relief and rescue work with the help of local people.
The family of the deceased girl is from Hatmaska village of Jammu and Kashmir. They had come to Himachal to meet their relatives. The police have taken the body of the girl in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital Dalhousie, where their treatment is going on.
