Shimla: In Shimla, a car lost control and fell into a 150 feet deep gorge, killing the driver. While the companion is seriously injured. The driver has been identified as Anil (28), a resident of Sopa village of Bharmour tehsil of Chamba district.
The accident took place late Saturday night near Khaira on Luhri-Sunni road in Sunni. The car went out of control and fell about 150 feet below the road into an under-construction project site. The other person in the car has been identified as Sanjay Kumar (25). He is a resident of Parlog village in Karsog tehsil of Mandi. Both of them worked in the under-construction power project of Sunni Dam.
With the help of local people and administration, the injured were taken to IGMC Shimla. Here doctors declared Anil dead. A case has been registered in Thana Sunni under Section 281 and 125 of the Indian Penal Code. In the initial investigation, high speed and negligence of the driver have been cited as the cause of the accident. Police is investigating the matter. The relatives of the deceased have been informed.
