Himachal : From May 17 people are making full use of the cashless facility started in the buses of Himachal Road Transport Corporation. In fact, till now 4400 people have taken advantage of this cashless facility.
Around Rs 11.50 lakh has so far been deposited in the account of Himachal Road Transport Corporation through this medium. People are liking this facility of the corporation very much. Cashless facility is being provided through about 500 bus ticketing machines in 12 areas of the state. Along with this, Himachal Road Transport Corporation has also found that the highest fare has been collected by conductor Yashwant Singh, who is working in Shimla local area only.
He has provided cashless facility to about 500 people. Along with this, the passengers traveling in the bus on behalf of Yashwant Singh have also been motivated to make payment through this facility. In this regard, the Transport Corporation also says that the drivers and conductors who collect the maximum fare from passengers will also be given due respect.
UPI Lite feature has been enabled on the UPI payment application to make payments quick and easy with this feature. There is no need to enter PIN and passengers can pay fare up to Rs 500. Managing Director of Himachal Road Transport Corporation, Rohan Chand Thakur said that more and more people are being motivated to use the cashless facility. The corporation is trying to ensure that maximum number of people across the state can avail the benefit of this facility.
