Rampur: Police Inspector Baldev Kumar, a resident of Rampur in Shimla, will be awarded the President’s Police Medal on the occasion of Republic Day. Baldev Kumar, currently serving as Inspector in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has achieved many notable achievements in his 22 years of service.
Baldev Kumar started his service as a constable in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in 2002. He obtained the post of Sub-Inspector in 2007 and Inspector in 2010 through competitive examination. In 2023, he was promoted to the rank of Subedar Major.
During his tenure, he served on the Indo-China border from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh. He was an instructor at the ITBP Academy for three years and was also posted in Congo under the United Nations Peace Mission in 2014-15.
For his outstanding services, he has been awarded the Police Special Duty Medal, United Nations Medal, Outstanding Service Medal, 75th Anniversary of Independence Medal and three Director General’s Insignia. He also received the Best Indoor Trainee award during sub-inspector training.
In view of his commendable services, he will be awarded the Police Medal by the President on Republic Day 2025.
