Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the Center has reduced the state’s loan limit. Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) is also continuously decreasing. The loan given against NPS has also been stopped. He will raise all these issues before the Union Ministers in Delhi.
Chief Minister Sukhu, who reached the Ridge in Shimla to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, said that he is going to Delhi today. After returning from the Congress Working Committee meeting to be held in Bengaluru tomorrow and day after, he will meet the Union Ministers in Delhi. He told that time is being taken to meet the Union Ministers.
The CM said that the issues of Himachal will be raised before the Center in the meetings to be held with the ministers on 28 and 29 December. During this, Chief Minister Sukhu can also meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and will request the Center to give the pending amount to Himachal under Post Disaster Need Assessment. He said that we are living in a federal structure. Therefore, help from the Center is our right. Demand will be made to the Center to restore GST compensation and increase RDG.
Let us tell you that Himachal had received 40624 crores under RDG in the 14th Finance Commission. In the 15th Finance Commission, this amount, instead of increasing, decreased to 37199 crores. In the year 2021-22, Himachal had received 10249 crores under RDG, while in 2025-26 it will be reduced to only 3257 crores.
