Chamba: The Chamba Police of Himachal Pradesh has arrested a thief. 3.59 grams of heroin have also been recovered from the accused’s possession. Today, the accused will be produced in court and sent to jail.
According to the information, during the last 18 days, two incidents of theft took place in the Banikhet area, which falls under sub-division Dalhousie. When the police engaged in an investigation and searched the CCTV cameras installed in the area, a young man was found doing suspicious activities. On suspicion, the police checked his mobile call details, and his involvement in the theft incidents came to light.
To catch the accused Akshay Kumar, son of Chhotu Ram resident Obdi Sultanpur, Dalhousie Police, along with Chamba Police, raided the Mohalla Obdi of Chamba this morning, and 3.59 grams of Heroin were recovered from his possession. The police have arrested the accused. Today, he will be produced before the court. The matter has been confirmed by SP Chamba Abhishek Yadav.
