The state has received 32 percent less rainfall than normal in the post-winter season. From March 1 to April 24, the state receives 165 mm of normal rainfall, but this time 112.7 mm of clouds have rained. Mandi and Kullu are the only districts where rainfall has been more than normal. Mandi has received 7 percent more rainfall than normal and Kullu has received 1 percent more rainfall.

All other districts have received less than normal rainfall. Lahaul Spiti has received 48 percent less rainfall than normal, Chamba 46 percent, Una 47 percent, Bilaspur 11 percent, Hamirpur 20 percent, Kangra 34 percent, Kinnaur 35 percent, Shimla 6 percent, Sirmaur 21 percent and Solan has received 24 percent less rainfall than normal.
