Kufri: Tourists and local horse operators clashed in Kufri, a tourist spot near the capital. Chandrashekhar and Jagdish have suffered serious head and leg injuries in this incident. They are undergoing treatment at IGMC Hospital. Both the injured youths are laborers.
It is being told that the tourists have been accused of attacking with a sharp object. Police have named six people in the case. This incident took place in the Dhali police station area on Sunday.
Four people from the same family from Punjab had come to Shimla for a trip. This incident took place near the police post in Kufri late on Sunday evening. Horses are operated from here for Hatu Peak. It is being told that tourists from Punjab were also viewing the valleys on horseback.
Later, the dispute over money turned into a fight. Two people were injured before the local people could intervene. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and pacified the matter, and took the injured to the hospital for treatment.
The police say that statements of all the people involved in the incident are being taken. Medical check-ups of four people including two tourists have also been done. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
