A cloud burst occurred at 4 places in the Mandi district of Himachal late at night. In this one person died, while more than 13 people are reported to be stranded. It has been raining heavily in Kutti bypass, old bus stand, Thunag and Gohar since night.

Visuals are from the beas river in mandi. After a cloudburst and heavy rainfall, the Beas River is experiencing severe flooding. IMD has predicted red alert which means heavy to very heavy rainfall in the region.
9 people, along with 2 houses, were washed away in Gohar. Due to landslides at different places, including Syathi village of Dharampur, more than 20 houses were buried under debris, some were washed away in a flash flood.
Suketi Khadda and other drains are also overflowing. Water entered the houses of many people. Many houses and the Mata Kashmiri temple were washed away. Administration teams have been engaged in rescuing people since night. In view of the rain, the administration has declared a holiday for schools and colleges in Mandi and Kangra.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Una districts for the next 3 hours.
