Kullu: Cloudburst in Manali last night led to flood in the Anjani Mahadev drain of Manali. A tourist town in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, was flooded last night, due to which a huge amount of debris came on the Manali-Leh road. Due to the debris, this road was completely closed for traffic movement. It is being told that heavy rain occurred in the area after cloudburst last night.

The cloudburst led to flood in Anjani Mahadev. A house also came under the grip of the fence in the drain, which has been completely damaged. So far no loss of life has been reported in this incident. A hydropower project has also been damaged due to the flood in the drain. The flood debris has entered the project.
After the flood, the fertile land and apple orchards of the local farmers have also been damaged. The local administration has started assessing the heavy damage.
Traffic has been disrupted for six hours due to all the debris and big stones on the Palchan bridge. After receiving information about this, the Border Road Service (BRO) machinery has reached the spot and is engaged in restoring the road.
It is being told that when the drain flooded last night, the people of the area got terrified. Last year also, there was a lot of destruction here during the rains.
