CM Sukhu campaigns for Maharashtra polls, says ‘We have come to change system’

CM Sukhu launched a verbal attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Mumbai: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is campaigning for the Maharashtra Assembly elections today. In a press conference in Mumbai, CM Sukhu launched a verbal attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said, BJP launched Operation Lotus to topple the Himachal government on the strength of money but faced defeat in retrun.

Advocating Congress govt, Sukhu said that if the Himachal government had not done good work, Congress would not have got 40 seats in the state again. He said that the Congress government has fulfilled 5 guarantees in a span of 22 months. The remaining guarantees will also be fulfilled soon.

The CM said, the state government restored the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in the first cabinet itself. A monthly allowance of Rs 1500 was ensured to eligible women. A startup fund of Rs 680 crore was launched for self-employment. He said, HP became the first state in the country to implement MSP for milk and fixed the price of cow milk at Rs 45 and buffalo milk at Rs 55 per liter.

The Chief Minister said that the previous government left a debt of 95 thousand crores on the state. But his government is making the state self-reliant, and by the year 2027 the state will be made the most prosperous state in the country. He appealed to the people of Maharashtra to form a Congress government.
