Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Singh Sukhu suddenly reached IGMC Shimla this morning. Before the inauguration of the cancer hospital today, CM Sukhu conducted a surprise inspection of the trauma center and emergency of IGMC. Trauma center and emergency are being formally inaugurated from tomorrow.
In view of this, the Chief Minister reached the hospital for a surprise inspection on Monday morning. He inspected every floor of the emergency ward and also gave some guidelines. The Chief Minister conducted a comprehensive inspection of the emergency OPD, Words, Operation Theater, ICU, which will be provided in the new building.
CM Sukhu will inaugurate the new building of the Cancer Hospital in Shimla after some time. Modern machines like CT simulators and linear accelerators are being installed in it.
These will provide better health facilities of radiotherapy to cancer patients. The new building of Cancer Hospital along with IGMC, Shimla was ready for a long time but its inauguration was pending for a long time. It will be inaugurated today.
In the new 5-storey building of the cancer hospital, 5 OPDs will be run on the top floor, in which patients coming to the hospital daily will be seen. A 20-bed ward for men and women is also ready in the new building. At present, where OPD is running in IGMC, patients have to face problems daily due to lack of space. Along with the patients, there was no proper seating arrangement for their attendants as well.
