Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 11 different developmental projects worth Rs 219 crore in Nahan during his one-day visit to Sirmaur district.
CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the bridge built on Markanda river at a cost of Rs 16 crore 62 lakh and 8 type-three houses for the staff of Dr. YS Parmar Medical College, Nahan, built at a cost of Rs 1 crore 71 lakh.
He also announced the sewerage scheme to be constructed at a cost of Rs 144 crore 30 lakh for Nahan city, the irrigation scheme to be constructed under Shiva project at a cost of Rs 17 crore 24 lakh for Nahan and Paonta development block, 6 irrigation schemes in Gada-Bhudi.
Lift irrigation scheme to be constructed at a cost of Rs 43 crore, drinking water supply scheme to be constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore under Jal Shakti sub-division Jamta, various lift enhancements in Gram Panchayat Kala Amb at a cost of Rs 4 crore 25 lakh.
Strengthening irrigation schemes, rain water harvesting structure Chasi to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore, multipurpose dam to be built at a cost of about Rs 2 crore in Pathar Khud of village Kathana, to be built at a cost of Rs 14 crore 65 lakh. He also laid the foundation stone of the hostel of Dr. YS Parmar Medical College, Nahan and the hatchery building Kansiwala to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore 50 lakh.
