CM Sukhu reached Bathu Ki Ladi; also did boating in the reservoir

Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu reached Bathu Ki Ladi located in Pong Reservoir on Sunday morning. Here he inspected the ancient temples and admired the migratory birds present in the reservoir. The Chief Minister also did boating in the reservoir. Instructions to Forest Department to ensure safety of migratory birds

During this, Chief Minister Sukhu said that migratory birds from Siberia and Mongolia come to Pong Dam, which attract tourists from all over the country. He instructed the Forest Department to ensure the safety of these birds. Two boats have already been deployed for the convenience of tourists and two more speed boats will be added soon for the convenience of visitors. In addition, basic facilities will be developed for tourists in the area.

The Chief Minister said that the initiative of the government has increased the number of tourists in this area, last year about 30 thousand tourists came to this area. He said, “Efforts are underway to start water sports activities at the Regional Water Centre near Pong Dam Barrage, which will further boost tourism in the region.” He said that a wildlife interpretation centre has been set up at Basa in Jawali assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 3.20 crore to enhance the experience of tourists and provide educational resources. He said that the aim of this centre is to create awareness about the importance of conservation and the remarkable migratory pattern of these birds.

Inauguration of developmental projects worth crores in Nurpur

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu reached Nurpur assembly constituency of Kangra district on Sunday itself. Here he inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Nurpur unit of FSL. He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated developmental projects worth crores of rupees in Nurpur. After this, the Chief Minister addressed a huge crowd in Nurpur and gave gifts worth crores of rupees to the people of the assembly constituency.
