Cold wave alert for 2 days in Himachal: Western disturbance to intensify again from 29th

Shimla: Himachal has a yellow alert for cold wave for 2 days today and tomorrow. Cold winds are blowing in the plains of the state during night and morning, causing severe cold. Western disturbance will be active again from 29th January. The weather department has issued a cold wave warning to Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Chamba.

The weather department has issued a cold wave warning to Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Chamba and Mandi districts. Meanwhile, nights in plains have become colder than Shimla.

The minimum temperature of Shimla was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, 4.4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature of the state’s hottest city Una was 1.9 degrees, Sundarnagar 1.9 degrees, Bhuntar 0.1 degrees, Palampur 3.7, Kangra 4.3 degrees, Mandi 3.2 and Bilaspur 4 degrees. Due to the cold wave, the temperature of higher areas has increased and the minimum temperature of lower areas has fallen.

Day temperature is 4.5 degrees higher than normal

On the contrary, the temperature has increased due to the sunshine for the last two days during the day. The temperature of Sundarnagar recorded the highest increase of 7 degrees compared to normal and the temperature here reached 25.0 degrees Celsius. The average maximum temperature of the state has also increased by 4.5 degrees above normal.

The temperature of Bhuntar has also increased by 6.9 degrees to 23.2 degrees, Shimla’s temperature has increased by 6.3 degrees to 17.4 degrees, Una’s temperature has increased by 5.4 degrees to 25.5 degrees, Kangra’s temperature has increased by 5.7 degrees to 24.1 degrees, Bilaspur’s temperature has increased by 5.5 degrees to 24.7 degrees Celsius.

Weather will remain clear for 3 days

The weather will remain clear in the state for the next three days. Western Disturbance (WD) will become active again from January 29. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in high and medium altitude areas. However, WD is not very strong.
