Sports Minister Vikramaditya Singh inspected the athletic track under construction at Indoor Stadium Noorpur. Taking details of the progress of the construction work from the officials, he instructed to complete it in time bound manner. On this occasion, he dedicated three table tennis tables received under CSR at Indoor Stadium Noorpur to the youth of the area. He talked about sanctioning Rs 4 lakh for the construction of gym in Indoor Stadium Noorpur. He said that he is committed to providing better sports infrastructure for the youth of the area, so that the youth’s interest in sports increases and they stay away from anti-social activities.
On this occasion, Himachal Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Vice President Vishal Chambiyal, former MLA Ajay Mahajan, District Congress President Karan Pathania, Block Congress President Sushil Mintu, Chief Engineer Public Works Department Anita Vaidya, SDM Nurpur Gursimar Singh, DSP Vishal Verma and a large number of others were present. Local people and young players were present.
Self-reliant model will be developed
Vikramaditya Singh said that it is necessary to develop a self-reliant model for operating the arrangements at Noorpur Indoor Stadium. He said that the income generated from the shopping complex being built here will help in running the activities and arrangements of the sports complex. He said that while this will make this place self-reliant, it will not have to look to anyone for carrying out the activities.
Will make additional budget available
The Sports Minister said that if more money is required for the construction of the stadium, then additional budget will be made available for it in the coming year. He said that this athletic track will be ready by next year, which will provide an excellent venue for sports to the youth of the area.
40 coaches will be recruited in the state
The Sports Minister said that to promote sports in the state, about 40 new coaches will be recruited by the government across the state and these coaches will be deployed in various sports centers across the state. He said that the recruitment process of 40 coaches related to various sports is going on in the state and it will be completed soon. He said that to promote sports in the state, the government will make all necessary arrangements in the sports department in the coming times.
