Consumers will get cheap refined and mustard oil in ration depots in April

The central government is providing wheat and rice to the consumers of Himachal on subsidy

Ration card consumers of Himachal Pradesh will get one liter of refined and one liter of mustard oil in depots from next month. Food Supply Corporation has finalized the tender for refined oil and sent it to the government for approval. Five companies participated in the tender. Now, after getting the approval of the government, the Food Supply Corporation will issue the supply order. Food Supply Corporation has also issued the supply order for dal chana. This order has been given to the central agency, NCCF. The supply of dal chana will start within the next week. This order has been made for three months.

There are 19.5 lakh ration card consumers in Himachal. The state government is providing three pulses (Malka, Mash and Dal Chana), two liters of oil (mustard), sugar and salt to the consumers on subsidy. The central government is providing wheat and rice to the consumers of Himachal on subsidy. The state government does the grinding of wheat.

In such a situation, consumers are being given flour in the depot. It is worth mentioning that six months ago, consumers used to get one liter of refined and one liter mustard oil. Since then, consumers have been given only mustard oil. Ration card consumers of Himachal Pradesh had also demanded refined oil from the state government. Due to this, the government has issued a tender. Now the state government has to take a decision on this.
