Bilaspur : In Bilaspur on Friday, a fight broke out between two groups outside the DBL company office working under the railway project located near Mandi Manwa. Former MLA Bambar Thakur was injured in this fight. His sons have also been injured. The former MLA has been admitted to the district hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case against 6 accused in this matter and started investigation. State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has strongly condemned the deadly attack on senior Congress leader Bamber Thakur, former MLA of Bilaspur Sadar, and has asked the Bilaspur district administration to take strict action against the culprits.
According to the information, this fight started after an argument in the office of DBL company which is constructing Bhanupali Barmana Railway Line. While the former MLA was talking to some of his people about providing them employment, some people started abusing, after which the situation reached the level of fighting.
As soon as the nearby people and Congress workers came to know about this, they gathered there. As soon as this incident was known, DSP Headquarters team reached the spot with the force. The former MLA was immediately taken to the regional hospital. Where he is being treated.
In protest against this incident of assault, Congress workers took out a rally and raised slogans. Former MLA and PCC general secretary Bambar Thakur alleged that he was attacked by supporters of the BJP MLA. He had gone there to discuss the issue of employment to the unemployed.
As soon as he came out of the office, BJP workers attacked him there. On the other hand, DSP District Headquarters Madan Dhiman, while confirming the matter, said that the police have registered a case against six accused in this matter and have started the investigation.
Sujanpur MLA Rajendra Rana went to Bilaspur and inquired about the well-being of Bamber Thakur and took detailed information about it from the doctor and the police. He said that this matter should be investigated on priority basis and no negligence of any kind should be done in it.
He said that if no action is taken within 2 days then this matter will be raised vigorously in the Assembly. Because this attack has happened on the former MLA and all the leaders of the Congress Party are currently with the former MLA.
