Despite ceasefire; restrictions continue in Himachal amid India Pak tensions

Despite the declaration of ceasefire, Operation Sindoor is still going on. Due to this, restrictions imposed in some districts of Himachal will remain in force.

Shimla, May 12: Despite the declaration of ceasefire, Operation Sindoor is still going on. Due to this, restrictions imposed in some districts of Himachal will remain in force. There is an advisory in Una, the border area adjoining Punjab, not to gather crowds at wedding ceremonies at night.

Flying of drones has also been banned in Una and Kullu districts. Until the restrictions are lifted, people will not be able to fly drones in wedding ceremonies. The Chief Minister’s Office in Shimla and the Chamba district have ordered government employees not to go out of the district headquarters, so that there is no problem in dealing with the emergency.

Himachal still on alert

Himachal is still on alert, because the state’s Una and Kangra districts share borders with Punjab. Similarly, Chamba district also shares its border with Jammu and Kashmir. In view of this, the Himachal government and the administration of the concerned districts have been put on alert, because many areas of Himachal are directly in the range of Pakistani attacks.

Pakistan has carried out blasts in these areas of Himachal

Pakistan carried out two blasts in Damtal of Kangra district of Himachal on Saturday. Indian Air Defence shot down a drone in Damtal itself. A broken part of a rocket has also been recovered in Chintpurni of Una. After this, the people and administration of the state are also alert.

Caution despite declaration of ceasefire

Meanwhile ceasefire was declared. But Pakistan cannot be trusted. Keeping this in mind people have still been asked to be cautious.

3 airports remained closed for a week

All flights from Gaggal Airport in Kangra, Jubbarhatti in Shimla and Bhuntar Airport in Kullu remained closed for almost a week. Flights from these airports of the state go to Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur and Amritsar. Flights will be able to start from all three airports from tomorrow.

Himachal lost a son in this war

Subedar Major Pawan Kumar Jammu, a resident of Shahpur in Kangra district, also sacrificed his life in the Pakistani bombing on Saturday morning. Pawan Kumar merged into the five elements last Sunday. Pawan Kumar attained martyrdom two and a quarter months before his retirement. His retirement was scheduled for 31 August 2025. Pawan Kumar has left behind his parents, wife and two children.

Two soldiers of Una injured

Two jawans from Una in Himachal Pradesh posted on duty in Jammu and Kashmir were seriously injured. BSF SI Vyas Dev posted in RS Pura in Jammu and Kashmir lost his leg in Pakistani firing. He is currently undergoing treatment at the military hospital in Jammu. Gurnam Singh, a jawan of the Sikh Regiment from Una, was also injured in Pakistani bombing. He too suffered a head injury.
