Dialysis facility will be started in 49 more hospitals of Himachal, 45 crores will be spent

The Health Secretary has directed the concerned hospital administration to provide space.

The dialysis unit facility is going to start in 49 more health institutions of Himachal Pradesh. A meeting of the health department officials has been held on this in the state secretariat, Shimla. In this, it has been asked to provide space to start a dialysis medical facility. Currently, this facility is available in 20 health institutions of Himachal. Now, dialysis units are to be set up in 49 more hospitals at a cost of Rs 45 crore. The Health Secretary has directed the concerned hospital administration to provide space.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has announced this in the budget speech. Many people in Himachal are suffering from kidney disease. In such a situation, the Health Department has started working to make this facility available to people in nearby hospitals. Dialysis is an artificial process of removing waste products and excess fluid from the body. It is needed when the kidneys does not function properly.

People may need dialysis for many reasons, but the inability of the kidneys to adequately filter waste products from the blood is the most common. In people with kidney failure, blood tests show that the kidneys can no longer filter waste products adequately. Doctors then continue dialysis until kidney function has recovered sufficiently.
