Door-to-door campaign in Himachal today: voting from 7 am tomorrow, 57.12 lakh voters will cast votes

Campaigning with groups and loud speakers will not be allowed and no candidate will be able to hold public meetings or meetings.

Meanwhile, 6589 polling parties have been sent to polling stations last night. The remaining 1403 polling parties will be sent with EVMs before 10 am today. The Election Commission has directed all polling parties to prepare polling stations by 7 pm today, so that voting can start on time at 7 am tomorrow.

Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg said that 1617 polling parties have been dispatched in Kangra district, 1196 in Mandi, 967 in Shimla, 624 in Chamba, 582 in Solan, 571 in Kullu, 409 in Bilaspur, 403 in Sirmaur, all 128 in Kinnaur and 92 in Lahaul-Spiti.

Liquor shops closed due to dry day

To conduct peaceful elections in the state, liquor shops and beer-bars, hotels and restaurants serving liquor will remain closed till 12 midnight on June 1. Similarly, the police have also sealed the borders with neighboring states.

62 candidates in the electoral fray

This time in Himachal, 37 contenders are in the electoral fray for four Lok Sabha seats, while 25 candidates are trying their luck for six assembly seats. Their fate will be captured in the EVM tomorrow and their fate will be decided on June 4.

Web casting at 4885 polling booths

This time web casting has been arranged at 4885 polling booths in the state. This means that the election officers will be able to see every activity during polling at the polling centers while sitting in their offices. Its purpose is to keep an eye on anti-social elements in the elections and to conduct the elections in a fair manner.
