Dr. Jitendra will elect new BJP president in Himachal, election officer appointed

This decision was taken in the national workshop held in Delhi on December 28.

Shimla: Discussion has intensified for the new state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Himachal. The BJP high command appointed election officers late last night for the election of the president and national council members. Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh has been appointed as the election officer of Himachal. He will come to the state within the next three to four days. He has to conduct the election of the district president by January 15.

This decision was taken in the national workshop held in Delhi on December 28. Along with the president, three national council members are also to be elected from the state. The high command has entrusted the big responsibility of the election of Ladakh BJP state president to former Himachal Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur.

Here 9 leaders are there for the state president. In this race, the names of former president Satpal Satti and Vipin Singh Parmar are being taken prominently. Current president Rajiv Bindal, Randhir Sharma, Bikram Thakur, Indu Goswami, Trilok Jamwal, Dr. Sikandar and Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj are also being considered as contenders. Party sources say that the new president will be chosen keeping in mind the caste and regional factors.

In terms of regional equations, any one of Vipin Singh Parmar, Bikram Thakur, Rajiv Bhardwaj, and Indu Goswami can be crowned, because all these four leaders belong to the biggest Kangra district which holds the key to the state’s power.
