Manali : There is good news for businessmen including tourists who are fond of watching snow in the 15,580 feet high Baralacha Pass. Lahaul-Spiti administration is going to open this road till Sarchu for tourists in two-three days.
With this, the tourists visiting here will be able to travel not only through Baralacha Pass but also towards Leh-Ladakh along with Himachal border Sarchu. Currently, the road is being widened by cutting snow on the Manali-Leh road.
This time, due to heavy snowfall in winter, Border Roads Organization personnel have faced a lot of difficulties in opening the road till Sarchu. The Border Roads Organization had opened this road till Himachal border Sarchu on 23rd April, but due to repeated snowfall amid bad weather, the problems of the Border Roads Organization increased. Tourist vehicles will be seen running on the strategic route Manali-Leh in two-three days. Tourists are flocking to Lahaul to get relief from the heat in the plains and to see snow. The snow has reduced in the tourist spot Sissu and now tourists are being allowed to go till Patseu situated on the Manali-Sarchu-Leh road.
The administration team was sent to inspect the road till Sarchu. Reports were received that the road is being widened at some places. In two-three days, the road beyond Patseu till Sarchu will be opened for tourists. After that tourists will be able to travel further till Leh and Ladakh.
