Shimla: Many areas of Himachal Pradesh witnessed hailstorm this afternoon. This has caused damage to the crops of farmers and gardeners. The apple crop has been destroyed due to heavy hailstorm in Manjhalihar of Kullu. This has caused all the flowers and leaves to fall.
In the remote areas of Shimla district, Kupvi, Nankhari, Shimla city and Koti-Bonch of Sirmaur also witnessed hailstorm in the afternoon. This has caused a lot of damage to the apple, pea and tomato crops. There was light drizzle in Shimla in the evening.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a fresh bulletin and issued an alert of lightning and hailstorm in Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur districts during the next 12 hours.

The maximum temperature of Shimla has increased to 25.2 degrees, 5.3 degrees above normal, Bhuntar’s mercury has increased to 31.5 degrees, 5.6 degrees above normal, and the temperature of Dharamshala has increased to 30.0 degrees Celsius, 4.9 degrees above normal.
