Hamirpur Municipal Corporation to include 84 revenue villages; 22 wards will be formed as per new proposal

28 villages have been excluded from the earlier proposal.

Hamirpur: In the new draft of the population proposal in Hamirpur, now 84 revenue villages will be included instead of 108. 28 villages have been excluded from the earlier proposal.

There are currently 11 wards in Hamirpur Municipal Council, but their number can be 22 in the Municipal Corporation. The complete file of the Municipal Corporation has been prepared. On the basis of that, the cabinet has approved it. That means now the notification of Municipal Corporation Hamirpur will be issued in a few days.

Kahdru of Gram Panchayat Dharog, Gudvin and Malwana of Vohni, Varanwad of Daduhi, Chhanwan and Chhavot Brahmana of Amroh. While five villages of the government Gram Panchayat have been excluded. These include Jatheri, Darbaili, Panthedi, Valh Valwana, Valh Dalwata, Swahal and Ser of Swahal.

Four villages of Neri Panchayat have been excluded. These include Uparla Mahal Neri Herbal, Neri, Khil, Khagal Khurd. 6 villages of Kasuta Panchayat are included, these include Kangroo, Karada, Gasota, Lagwan Brahmana, Lagwan Julahan and Ghumarvin. Along with this, two villages of Balh Gram Panchayat, Maniyana and Bhater Chhivian are also included. Duganehda, Ghartahad and Mohan of Bassi Jhaniara Gram Panchayat have been excluded.

Municipal Council Chairman Manoj Minhas said that after the notification of the formation of the Municipal Corporation is issued, no house tax or any other tax will be collected from the people of the newly added areas for 5 years. That is, there will be an exemption for this, so that people feel the need for it after the developmental activities are almost complete.
