Temperatures in 9 cities crossed 35 degrees

Meanwhile, the temperature of 9 cities of the state has crossed 35 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Una has reached 42 degrees. This is the highest temperature of this season and is 5.2 degrees more than normal. During the last 24 hours, the maximum rise of 2 degrees has also been seen in the temperature of Una.

The record temperature of Una for the month of April till date is 43.2 degrees Celsius. It was recorded on 30 April 2022. The temperature of Shimla has also increased to 28.2 degrees with 4.8 degrees more than normal, the temperature of Kangra has increased to 37.0 degrees Celsius with 7.4 degrees more than normal and the temperature of Bhuntar has increased to 34.5 degrees with 4.6 degrees more than normal.

What is the danger to humans from heat wave?

Heat waves can cause dehydration in a person’s body. This can even kill a person. Changes in sodium and potassium concentration in the blood can affect the heart and nerve cells. This causes problems in breathing and blood flow.

A person affected by heat stroke may feel weak, have headache, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive sweating, feeling tremors, dizziness and muscle cramps. If any of these symptoms are seen, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

What to do to avoid heatstroke?

During a heat wave, one should consume as much liquid as possible and wear light and loose cotton clothes. Similarly, one should not go out in the sun without any reason. If necessary, go out wearing a cloth, cap or handkerchief on the head. While travelling, keep a bottle of water with you and drink ORS solution. Stop consuming intoxicants and consume high protein food.
