Heat wave alert in 4 districts of Himachal: Rain expected in high altitude areas from 9

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh will see mixed weather in the coming week. IMD has forecast that the maximum temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two days. There will be no significant change in the minimum temperature.

According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave will be felt in 4 districts of the state for the next two days. The heat wave will continue till April 7 in Kullu, Mandi, Kangra and Shimla districts of the state.

The weather will change on 9 April

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also predicted that the weather will change from April 9. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at some high altitude places in Chamba, Kullu, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts. This activity will continue till April 10 and 11. Due to which light rain may occur in other hilly and plain areas of the state on April 10-11. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry and clear in the state for the rest of the week.

36% less rain than normal after winter season

This time after the winter season, the state has received 36 percent less rain than normal. From 1st March to 3rd April, the rainfall has been 36 percent less than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall during this period is 118.1 mm, but this time, only 75.5 mm of rain has occurred.

There is a forecast of much less rainfall than normal between April and June. Due to this, the people of the state may have to face water shortage in summer.
