Along with Neri, the temperature of 8 cities is crossing 40 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the temperature in Shimla has also reached 31 degrees after 10 years. Earlier in the year 2014, the maximum mercury was 31.4 degrees.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heatwave in seven districts Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur for three days. This can cause a rise in temperature by one to two degrees Celsius. In view of the heat wave warning, people have been advised to take precautions.
Forecast of light rain from June 18
According to the weather department, western disturbance is becoming active on June 18. Due to this, there are chances of rain for the next three days. Especially on June 19 and 20, it may rain in most parts of the state. There is a possibility of relief from scorching heat after June 18. But the heat will increase further during the next 72 hours.
55% less rainfall in June so far
The average rainfall in the state from June 1 to June 13 is 33.2 mm. But this time only 14.8 mm of rain has occurred. Which is 55 percent less than normal. Due to lack of rain, the sun is spewing fire and the mercury of most of the cities of the state has increased by 7 degrees Celsius above normal.

The temperature of Sundarnagar has increased the most by 6.3 degrees compared to normal.
