Heavy snowfall in 7 districts of Himachal today: Rain alert in high areas

According to IMD, heavy snowfall may occur at some places in Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Mandi and Shimla districts. Tomorrow i.e. on January 7, light snowfall may occur only on the high peaks of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu and Lahaul Spiti districts. The weather will become clear in other areas.

A huge jump in the temperature of the mountains has been recorded before the rain and snowfall. The maximum temperature of Shimla has reached 23 degrees, 11.4 degrees more than normal. Last Saturday it was 23.1 degrees. This is the record temperature of January so far. Earlier, the record temperature of Shimla was 21.4 degrees on January 30, 2006.

Temperature of Keylong is 10.1 degrees above normal

The temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti has also increased by 10.1 degrees compared to normal. The maximum temperature of Keylong has reached 6.1 degrees Celsius. Usually, the temperature of Keylong remains in minus in January. The maximum temperature of Sundarnagar has also reached 25.2 degrees, which is 7.6 degrees above normal. The average maximum temperature of the state has increased by 5.5 degrees above normal.

The maximum temperature of Bhuntar in Kullu has also increased by 6.3 degrees to 22 degrees.

In such a situation, if it rains or snows today, then the temperature will fall.
