Responding to the proposal brought on the Non-Official Members’ Day on Thursday, Sukhu said that strict action will be taken against any government officer and employee found involved in drug trafficking. It cannot be placed in the House right now. Due to strict decisions, the drug trade has reduced by 30 percent. The government will adopt a zero tolerance policy in the coming time. Sukhu said that a case came to light in Seraj where a packet of drugs was mixed with soil. There too, an influential person was interfering, but action was taken. An NGO was promoting drug addiction, action was taken against it. For the first time, a de-addiction center is being built in 150 bighas in Kotla Behra.
