Himachal: After order of High Court CPS vacant offices, leave allotted vehicles

As per the order of Himachal High Court, all the Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) have left their vehicles and offices. Now in a day or two, the CPS will also leave the government bungalows allotted to them in Shimla. On the other hand, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena issued orders last evening to take away the facilities like car, bungalow, office and staff. The staff and vehicles were taken back from them at night. After the order of the Chief Secretary in the evening, the CPS staff also packed most of their belongings from the offices. Now they will have to vacate the bungalows too. The government has given them luxurious bungalows to live in Shimla.

Former CPS and MLA ML Brakta said that he respects the orders of the court. He has left his car and office. As soon as the house is allotted to him by the Assembly, he will also leave the office allotted to him as a CPS.

The General Administration Department (GAD) had given Fortuner cars to CPS. These have been handed over to GAD. The CPS who were in Shimla yesterday have handed over their cars to GAD. The cars that went with CPS to different areas of the state were handed over to GAD today. However, CPS has stopped using the cars since last evening.

Orders have also been given last evening to return the staff attached to CPS. After the High Court repealed the state’s 2006 CPS Act, now these MLAs will not get a salary of Rs 2.20 lakh per month and allowances.
