Himachal changes school timings to 7:30 AM-1 PM amid heatwave

Himachal's education department has changed the timing of schools in view of the scorching heat. Schools in Kangra, Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Baddi-Batoriwala-Nalagarh (BBN), Paonta Sahib and Nahan will now function from 7.30 am to 1 pm.

Schools in Kangra, Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Baddi-Batoriwala-Nalagarh (BBN), Paonta Sahib and Nahan will now function from 7.30 am to 1 pm. Orders have been issued to all deputy directors regarding this.

Currently, most of the government schools in the state open from 10 am to 4 pm. Due to this, children are facing problems due to heat and heat wave. It has been said in the letter that in many cities the temperature has reached 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. In such a situation, the timing has been changed so that children do not face any problems.

Playing in the ground will not be allowed during the heatwave

The education department also made it clear in its orders that no student will be allowed to play in the ground during heatwave or extreme heat. The time of morning prayer meetings has also been asked to be reduced.

There will be two water breaks

The education department has asked all schools to give water breaks to children twice so that all children can drink enough water. The education department has made it clear in its orders that the deputy directors of all districts will have to give information related to changing the timings of schools to the education directorate.

The parents of the children were repeatedly demanding change in the timing.
