Himachal CM Sukhu calls cabinet meeting on Sunday, discussion on major decisions likely

Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has called a cabinet meeting on Sunday. This meeting has been called before the monsoon session of the assembly. In this, discussions can be held on various MLAs proposed to be presented in the monsoon session.

As soon as the date of the cabinet meeting was fixed, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has also asked all the departmental secretaries and heads of departments to send the agenda. It is believed that apart from the bills in the cabinet, there can also be a discussion on the pending dearness allowance (DA) and arrears of employees-pensioners.

A relief package for the relief and rehabilitation of the families who have suffered heavy losses due to the disaster can also be announced in the cabinet. This time 133 houses have been completely destroyed in the state. On the night of July 31 alone, 55 people went missing in heavy rain and floods after cloudburst. Out of these, 30 people are still missing. The entire Samej village of Rampur has been washed away in the flood. A package can be announced in the cabinet for such flood affected people.

Similarly, recruitments in various departments can also be approved. The cabinet will also formulate a strategy to respond to the opposition’s attacks in the monsoon session of the assembly, as the monsoon session of the Himachal Assembly is starting by August 27.
