Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held a meeting with state Congress in-charge Rajni Patil and co-in-charge Chetan Chauhan in Delhi before leaving for Kerala today. During this, a detailed discussion was held about the new organization of the state Congress.
Chief Minister Sukhu gave the names of the possible contenders in the organization to Rajni Patil and discussed these names. State Congress President Pratibha Singh has already given the names of the possible contenders of the Holy Lodge group to Rajni Patil.
Now the Congress high command will finalize the organization this week and announce the new organization. The state, district and block Congress committees of Congress in the state have been dissolved for 150 days.
National President Mallikarjun Kharge had dissolved all the executive committees of the state Congress on November 6 last year. Since then, the ruling Congress is without an organization in the state. Due to this, the Congress workers are disappointed. The party’s activities have stopped.
The only official of Congress in the state for five months is state president Pratibha Singh. National leaders of Congress kept coming to Himachal again and again and assured that a new organization will be formed soon. On February 28, State Congress in-charge Rajni Patil also returned to Delhi claiming to form an organization in 15 days. But even after more than a month, the organization has not been formed.
There were discussions about changing Congress President Pratibha Singh in the state for a long time. But sources say that there is no possibility of changing the Congress President right now. Doing so can anger the Holy Lodge camp. Therefore, Congress can move ahead with Pratibha Singh right now.
After meeting the state in-charge, CM Sukhu has left for Kerala from Delhi. Congress has made him the observer for the Kerala Assembly elections. He has been given the responsibility of reviewing the preparations for the elections.
