Many leaders met party in-charge Rajni Patil regarding the early formation of the Congress executive in Himachal Pradesh. The process of meeting the in-charge continued from 4 pm to late night at Peterhof Shimla on Friday.
During this, Rajni Patil was apprised of the loss being incurred due to the non-formation of the executive even after six months. Congress state in-charge Rajni Patil and Ajay Maken will return to Delhi from Shimla on Saturday morning. A decision may be taken regarding the state president of Himachal after discussion with the party high command. It is likely that Congress will get a new state president by June 10.
The party’s state in-charge Rajni Patil, who came to Shimla for the Jai Hind Sabha, met most of the ministers, MLAs and senior party leaders in a closed room on Friday. During this, Congress National Treasurer and MP Ajay Maken were also present. Most of the party leaders who met put forth their views on the formation of the executive as soon as possible. Congress leaders said that the block, district and state executive have been dissolved in Himachal Pradesh since November 2024.
This is affecting the party’s programs. There is a situation of disintegration in the organization at the ground level. The party is likely to suffer losses due to this. During this time, many leaders advocated keeping Pratibha Singh as the president, while some leaders advocated giving the command of the party in the hands of a young leader.
